Some history from the Portcities website at plimsoll.org:
Wilton Lodge was built in c.1820 for a John Curtis. The architect was probably Samuel Toomer, who built Carlton Lodge next door, and many of the houses in Carlton Crescent. Toomer lived at Wilton Lodge until his death in 1842. It was originally called Wilton Cottage. For most of the 20th century the house was the premises of H.J. Klitz, piano workshop.’
The building is now home to businesses including The End hairdressers and Clive Marks Dental Practice, signalled by the golden tooth which hangs outside.
In this run is also longstanding family business Bassil's chemist, Electric Bike World which was at one time a fruit and veg shop, and convenience store McColl's which has previously been a charity shop.
